Mission

Our church motto “Living our faith in Jesus Christ through service, acceptance and love!” is no more evident than in the mission of the church.  We invite all to put their love into action.  Here are some of the works we regular participate in:

Caregivers:  This group is a ministry of friendship.  They visit members to share Christian love and compassion.

CropWalk:  is an annual event sponsored by Church World Services where participants walk to raise funds to end world hunger.

Habitat for Humanity:  Builds homes for needy families.

Mission Trips:  In July of 2009 our mission trip will be to work in New Orleans to continue the work of recovery from the hurricane devastation.

PADS: (Public Action to Deliver Shelter) We support the local homeless shelter with volunteer staffing and preparation of meals.

Salvation Army Bellringers:  An annual event in December of each year in support of the Salvation Army.

Food Pantry:  We have a monthly food collection which is donated to Algonquin-Lake in the Hills Interfaith Food Pantry.

Blood Drives:  We sponsor regular blood drives to aid the community.

In addition we sponsor the annual giving to denominational offerings as well as, emergent needs within our congregation and community.
